Baccarat Game Rules

The first thing to do in baccarat is to choose which type of baccarat you’d prefer to play. American baccarat involves three decks of cards. There are also zero commission baccarat games. That means every dollar you spend will earn you back 99 cents. Then you will choose between three different types of bets: Banker Wins, Player Wins, and Tie games and decide how much you are willing to risk on the chosen bet.

Card Game Rules

Baccarat is a game that requires no skill, only luck. The cards are valued at face value with Baccarat hands totalling 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. It’s played with between four and eight decks of cards. All cards are shuffled before the round begins.

Player Rules

You will receive a 1:1 payout if the player bet wins. The house has a 1.24% advantage over you with this bet.

Banker Rules

If you bet on the Banker’s hand, you will receive a payout of 1:1. However, in order to receive your winnings from the Banker’s hands, you must pay a 5% commission to the house. Furthermore, the house has a 1.06% edge over players.

Tie

If you bet on a tie and win, you will receive a payout of 8:1. The house, however, this bet has the biggest edge over the player at 14.36%.

Calculating Card Values

Every ace has a count value of one, every court card has a count value of zero, and the other cards have count values based on their markings. Each hand contains a pair of cards or three cards. The point of a hand will be a single number (zero to nine inclusive) and derived by adding the count values of the cards in a hand and subtracting ten, if necessary. Zero is referred to as “Baccarat”.

Third Card Rules

A third card is only drawn under certain conditions. These are as follows:

Player Banker
0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 – Draws 0, 1 or 2 – Draws
6 or 7 – Stand 3, 4, 5 or 6 – Action depends on the total the player has
8 or 9 – Stand 7 – stands
8 or 9 – Stand

Baccarat is a card game that has been developed over the years. The game has become popular in recent years, and you can even play it online if you want. If you are interested in learning more about baccarat rules, visit our related baccarat guides.
